Experience : 1 – 4 Years

Job Description :
1. Perform ticket triage for Break/Fix and Incidents. Triage activities include:
2. Ticket enters queue and is scrubbed for:
3. Ticket type, Inc/MAC, and is coded accordingly
4. Details; such as work window, special instructions, number/type of device(s) or cables
5. Ensure all information necessary to start work is present
6. Ticket is not a duplicate – duplicates are immediately coded and routed back to the sender
7. Determine whether ticket is workable, code accordingly
8. If ticket is not workable, follow escalation process for ticket type
9. Add ticket title information, add any necessary coding or diaries
10. Provide quality operational support to the – Wintel server, including the following task responsibilities:
11. Add OS level accounts
12. Perform server updates
13. IPAK/Hotfix/Security Patch processes
14. Power down servers
15. Reboot servers
16. Create VIP in Microsoft iAdmin tool
17. Regular project reporting on weekly status, issues and concerns.
18. Escalation of any issues, logging and tracking them to closure.
19. Resolution of any issues through mutual discussion and agreement.

Desired :
1. Working knowledge of Microsoft environment.
2. Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, HTTP, and SSL deployments.
3. Basic understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, IPX, TCP/IP, etc) and VPNs.
4. Basic understanding of “netline” command parameter
5. Basic understanding of application related services (ODBC, TNS, TFP, etc…)
6. General understanding of Microsoft clustering
7. Working knowledge of “Vmware” preferred
8. Experience on ticketing tools desirable.
9. Communication skills have to be good, especially written
10. Strong ability to understand & follow documented processes.
11. Flexibility to work 24/7 in shifts.
